Caveman Cookies

Me Want Cookie!


1/4 cup sunflower nut butter
1/4 cup coconut manna
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
half of a 1/4 cup of something sweet — I used blackstrap molasses this time — probably will try maple syrup next time

Stir it all up.

Dollop it out onto something you can put in the freezer for a while.  I used small saucers.  This made four “cookies.”

Freeze for oh, an hour or more.  Let them get hard.


When they’re in the warm-just-mixed stage, the blackstrap molasses tastes really strong.  It doesn’t when you’re eating a frozen cookie.

Edit: I’m really enjoying these cookies and have now made them three more times, every time using maple syrup rather than blackstrap molasses. Today I bumped the amounts up to 1/3 cup of everything and half a 1/3 cup of maple syrup, and added 2 Tbsp flaxseed meal. This recipe made 6 nice big cookies that are waiting for me in the freezer. 🙂
