oregano oil and rosemary oil

The first bit of advice I heard about addressing the itching was to use rosemary oil on the skin for itching, and use oregano oil internally.  There is an imbalance in the body that oregano oil addresses.

I bought oregano oil capsules from Amazon and found rosemary oil at the local health food department at the grocery store, and both of those have helped tremendously.

The oregano oil capsules I found have actual green stuff inside transparent tube capsules.  I was taking one in the morning, one at night, and could feel it when I was getting itchy again…time to take another one.  I did that for a month, and my bottle said to take the capsules for two weeks to four weeks “under supervision of a naturopath or physician” and since I was doing neither, I decided I needed to stop, so I did.  Since stopping taking the oregano oil twice a day, I’ve been itchier.  So it helps.

Rosemary oil applied directly to itchy parts:  that’s how I got through the really bad itchiness, before I started the elimination diet.  I used up a whole bottle of rosemary oil and started using the next one; then the diet started to kick in and my itchiness has subsided.

I’m grateful for them both.
